You have to admit though, other than RJ’s trumpets with their
high notes, they were relatively more controlled than the other
bands. Their tone was very good and their expression too. Granted,
the other bands were good too, some may even have better
technicality, but I enjoyed RJ the most. Choice of songs and tone
and all. Also, they toned down a lot from central judging. The
judges commented then that the jc bands were too loud for the hall
or sth to that extent. SYF is after all,
related to MOE. Learning from experience and
everything.
