99% of any meteorites or fragments that enter the earths
atmosphere from outa space, become disintegrated by the time they
hit the surface of te earth, The heat caused, by the friction of
the object flying through the earths stratosphere is enough to
cause most meteorites to become just debree,
other then that, even if a meteorite the size of a car or smaller
hit anywhere in earth, i think scientiest would be aware of it.
