Understand SG They wanted to show the public their new tatics. They stated that before 9/11, their tatics was just plain Hostage rescue situations etc, but after 9/11, they would have to deal with sucide bombers etc. Thus, my guess was that they wanted the public to know that they are prepared?
Understand SG Haha...my sentiments exactly! Terrorist would think that is just a tip off an iceberg of what kind of tatics they have adopted, thus refrain to try anything funny. But, in order to get the terrorist car into a lane, they used some sort of a "naplam bomb" (to repalce the spike strip, the bomb goes into a line of fire) But...even if the terrorist rushed through the flames, i don't think their tires would be damaged leh...
chunyong SG regarding the nalpalm, i think if the speed is not 30km, no harm will come to the wheels….the wheels will be rotating too fast to be melted by the fire there and then. But the nalpalm will cause panic and block off vision abit i guess.
