dragg SG my goldfish died this morning of suspected stomach cancer. as foul play is not suspected no autopsy will be conducted. there will not be a wake. thank you in advance for all condolences. kindly observe one minute silence. all flags will fly half-mast today.
mistyblue SG poor thing... bye bye ranchu... You going to flush it down the loo? BTW, is it a bad omen or a good omen.. can buy 4D?
elindra SG Must be you never make sure the water conditions are correct la By the way you are aware that our water contains chlromines besides chlorine right? Make sure your anti-chlorine has anti-chlormine too.
a_splash SG wow my condolence and bye bye to your $$$$ 4 died over a period of 2 yrs?? emm that's consider fast sia.... but during those days when i started learning to keep a tank of goldfishes, they died even faster that yours... could it be filter not good enugh?? or over eaten??
the Bear SG goodbye ranchu all you did in your life was to swim, eat and poo oblivious to all the strife swim around was all you'd do now although it cuts like a knife you're dead, so down the loo
dragg SG mine is a jewel tank. water quality should be ok. maybe its overfeeding. i found a bleeding patch on the fish's belly. all 4 died of the same cause.
elindra SG Wah liao you win! Goldfish can be said to be pretty sensitive You need to use it la coz of how the water is treated in Singapore. Just an anti-chlorine is no longer enough. It has to be anti-chloromine as well. 'Stress-Coat' is a good brand but bloody ex It's anti-stress slime coat for fish + anti-chlorine + anti-chloromine + neutralise heavy metals in water
a_splash SG u must be very anxious to see a big fat ranchu hurhurhur.... maybe cut down the food...see how it goes?? my cheap cheap goldies (20 for $2) now only eat once in two or three days....all going well
dragg SG i stopped because the solution is really too expensive. i used to add salts for fish water but switched to conventional salts too. much cheaper!!! it must be due to overfeeding. btw what is plecos?
elindra SG Errr our conventional salt has higher iodine content compared to aquarium salts which is not suitable for some fishes. Not sure about goldfish. Plecos are called sucker fish. Ppl believe they eat shit but they do not. They eat algae but will also eat fish slime off slow moving fishes like goldfish
elindra SG For me I keep bloody sensitive and expensive to rear fish so everything has to be perfect or they die. I need to do a 20% water change every 2-3 days too
mistyblue SG there is something wrong with the water ... goldfish are sensitive to water changes If you spot there are fungi growth on the fish, some times you can add salt to their water but not too much.
