123M can be merged into 122 like someone here suggested in order to avoid confusion between 123/123M so it will be from HarbourFront - Commonwealth Ave via Kim Tian Road and Tiong Bahru MRT. At least this way 122 will be more utilized as compared to the current state it is in..

After the amendment I forsee that 123 is probably going to be a cashcow route because its probably going to be pretty popular among tourists whose hotels are primarily in Havelock/Clemenceau/Orchard.

As for DD on 123, Bukit Purmei Ave there got DD restriction, no? Should just beef up 123M's frequency maybe the 123 DM3500s can fleet add to 123M.

123 accepts concession pass, and charges distance fares. This is a new way to enter Sentosa without having to pay the $1 admission fee, $3 Sentosa Express, or the RWS express bus fares.

In terms of overall distance, it may be longer. But considering 123 charges normal fares, one could save some money by taking 123 at Tiong Bahru, instead of Sentosa Express at HarbourFront. Yay.

During train disruption, FREE entry fee also...

This loophole has been around for many years, and it's a secret among Singaporeans.

But I won't want to reveal it here, as doing so may cause a surge in demand, and possibly cause the authorities to remove the loophole.

It will be better if service 123 end at Resorts World Sentosa Bus Terminal rather than end at bitch terminal.

123 can use bendy bus if need to. just transfer from SMRT. Maybe can also transfer 3-door SG4002G as well.

There won't be any more new bendy buses in future. Even the current Sentosa bus services don't need bendies.

Besides LTA can deploy more buses for 123 if there is demand. 123 seems to be more to help with the crowds for RWS8 and 188R and 963R.

Actually prefer sv 80 to be amended to RWS. Parallel with sv 145 from lavender all the way to Vivocity.

80 is too long already to be extended further.

The loophole is actually the free shuttle bus offered by the hotels at Sentosa.

It's actually a complimentary service, meant for the hotel guests and patrons, but some people actually use it to bypass the admission charges.

I believe the authorities actually know about this, but they probably close one eye because it actually brings business to the hotel and the tenants at Sentosa, especially around Siloso beach area which is actually not that well accessible. It's not a secret, but actually just a loophole, which apparently the authorities are okay with it. The shuttle bus has a stop at HarbourFront Centre.

Maybe LTA should consider getting more A24s under SG rego. These can be used where height restrictions preclude the operation of DDs on the route.

858 and some feeders are some of the svc that requires A24s...

But welp, they rather pump in more buses like svc860. Or have plenty of DDs but nobody's on the upper deck

Save the length space, but simply having more buses only...isn't it back to the same story? Looking forward to 2020's train disruption...how are they gonna handle it with only 40 A24s or maybe just DD/SD...

Do you have pollution issue, noise and dust/dirt with so many new flats in your area? Are you excited about the new flats bringing in new neighbours?

Well thankfully I stay closer to buangkok green. The dust and pollution from the construction sites are kinda blocked by the blocks behind, so not too bad.

I guess development is something that cant be stopped. Not too excited about having this quiet area becoming more congested but I probably will look forward to having more amenities at a shorter distance since the new demand will make sense to build as opposed to last time. I just hope the developement is wholesome rather than adding more people to squeeze amongst limited amenities

Note that 123 does not call at HarbourFront, nor does it go to anywhere near NEL. So for those taking NEL, RWS8 is still the cheapest option (besides walking).

Hi mr array88, cheapest alternative for residents by NEL is NEL-transfer at outram park MRT-alight 1 stop later at EWL tiong Bahru mrt-take Sbs 123 to sentosa. Not too much of a hassle right?

Because to travel to harbourfront 1 station later is almost equivalent to transfer at outran to tiong Bahru also 1 station later. RWS8 is equivalent to changing to Sbs 123 at tiong Bahru plaza bus stop). 123 is based on distance fares which is much cheaper. Cheers. Thanks.
