I don't think >15 min is justifiable for a sole svc serving whole estates to Bedok MRT.

And 229 could take as much as 15 min more to Bedok MRT depending on jam.

I guess the poor frequency of 38 and 229 is due to low demand along Bedok South Rd, where one side of the road has low density private estate. But then, Bedok South Rd has 12 and 47, so Bedok South residents have direct routes to elsewhere.

On the other hand, Bedok North St 3 is the other way round - high frequency and high capacity for 225G/W, but no direct routes to anywhere else (until svc 137 starts on 21 Oct). For Bedok North St 3 residents, going anywhere beyond Bedok North estate requires at least one transfer or at least a 15 minute walk to bus stops along Bedok Reservoir Rd or Bedok North Ave 3.

Which would you prefer? Several routes but poor frequency for each route, or high frequency for only 1 route but no direct routes to anywhere else?

To save time for Bedok South residents, 38 should loop at Bedok MRT via Bedok South Ave 1, New Upper Changi Rd and Bedok South Rd. The journey into and out of Bedok Interchange is time-consuming and there is always a queue of buses waiting for the limited number of alighting berths.

For Bedok South Road residents, if they need to take EWL, they take 12/38/47 to Tanah Merah MRT. 38 is used solely if they need to go to Bedok mall. 229 is the same. Hence, 38 and 229 both have low loading towards Bedok.

Frequency seems okay for trunk service. But if it is loop service, this means frequency can get screwed up on its way back to Yishun.

807 seems to have same frequency as 860. Maybe the fleet from 860 just transfers to 807 with addition of 2 buses for loop to st 71.

Yes because 225G goes to the inner estate of st 3 while W doesn't.

I believe the first 225G was pushed forward to allow commuters to catch the first westbound MRT at 5:39am at Bedok MRT.

On the other hand, the last 225G leaves Bedok Int at 00:40 for commuters coming from the last eastbound MRT (00:29), while the last 225W leaves at 24:00.

Most commuters taking 225W can also take 225G as long as they cross the road. Hence 225G alone is sufficient during the early and late hours.

If that's the case, we now know why 807 purposely duplicated 860 all the way, instead of serving a few different roads (like many forumers suggested).

Actually, might as well merge the new 860 with 852...

The 137 route from UEC terminal to Sims Place terminal is about 19-20 km. Travelling the same distance on svc 10 from Bedok Camp, you would reach Telok Blangah MRT. On svc 14 you would reach Bukit Merah Central. This shows how winding svc 137 is... Somemore svc 137 travels in the opposite direction twice along the route. (The eastbound trip travels westbound at Ubi MRT and Bedok MRT)

I would prefer svc 137 to be split into 2 portions:
- Sims Place to Bedok North Rd, then Bedok North Ave 1 and Bedok Int (for faster access between Bedok MRT and Kaki Bukit industrial estate)
- UEC to Bedok North Rd, then Tampines Ave 10, TPE, Punggol Rd, Punggol Field, Punggol Int or Tampines Ave 10, Pasir Ris Dr 12, Dr 1, Pasir Ris Int (for direct access between DTL3 and Punggol or Pasir Ris)

225W also goes to the other end of St 3 (near Ave 2) while 225G doesn't. Although the walking distance from that part to Ave 2 is much shorter than the 225G's end to Ave 1.

Yep! But for many of them they can also walk to ave 3 and get a huge number of buses.

137 is a DTL3 connector. It is not meant for end-to-end use. It connects parts of Bedok North, Kaki Bukit not connected previously. If you live along Bedok North St 3 and you need to go to UBI, 137 is going to be quite okay than take bus and transfer. But ofcourse you don't take 137 from UEC to Geylang.
