Residents of Hougang, Sengkang and Punggol, I know you all are
excited about the new express bus service 517, as this may be the
perfect alternative to avoid the overcrowding on North-East Line
MRT during peak hours. 
However, I must inform you that the news is fake. 
It's April Fool's Day, yo! 
Nonetheless, there are City Direct bus services that you could
take to get to the city area directly, namely 660 and 672 at
Hougang, 654 and 671 at Sengkang, and 666 at
Punggol. These services
charge the same fares as express bus services, and call at bus
stops along Shenton Way and Central Boulevard in the city
area. For more

this. We all know LTA will never introduce such a route. It has
been more than 10 years and they are always telling all of us to
