Regarding 700/973 ... how far would affected Petir Rd residents
have to walk to the Blk 270 bus stop at BPJ Rd once their direct
link to Orchard is gone though? Seeing that 966 doesn't stop
anywhere near a DTL station (other than Geylang Bahru), and 973
cannot stop at the bus stops outside Hillview MRT due to right
turns.
Or ... would 972 (or even 190) be amended over to Petir Rd?
I doubt 972 would be amended as the bus stop at blk 270 is
heavily used as an interchange stop for Fajar/Segar/Senja
residents.
If 700 goes, Petir road residents will have to rely on blk 270
or take 966 backwards and transfer at BPJ Road. Other alternative
is 960 getting diverted via Petir road instead of doing Pending/BPJ
Road. This option will also not be ideal as it will take away the
direct connection between blk 270 and Pending LRT to Woodlands road
and Mandai estate.
