HARIMAU SG MAF already operate a nos of DJIGIT system.Such system apart from being static will also be install onboard armoured vehicles/light truck. The air defence regiment received app 36 DJIGIT launcher + app 250 IGLA-1 rounds. Last November the army announced that the RDF shall received their ANZA MK II withins weeks!! Rumours has it MAF shall replace the STARBURST with an advanced version of the laser beam rider.
damienthedevil SG Singapore armed forces introduced the Igla-1 into services in 1999 and as per SIPRI there are 3000 Igla-1 missiles delivered and in operation with the SAF.
eurofighter SG From the posted pic, it seems like they did not buy the shoulder launcher like most igla users do or do they have them too?
gary1910 SG Actually I read from some where that Sg has a licence to produce Igla missiles in SG............. One advantage is that it is very cheap missiles as compare to missiles like Mistral , that is why we are mass producing it. CHARGE!!!
tankee1981 SG I was wondering if both countries used the same SAM missiles, then will the prospect of blue on blue accidents increase should we ever go to war?
tankee1981 SG The version of the IGLA-1 launchers bought by them resembles that of the Mistral SAMs that we have,as in the operator sits in between two missiles.
