Guess other colours taken by others???green,maroon,red are all taken up by other outfit in the MAF.BTW most SOF in the world do wear their beret like that......eg SAS,GREEN BERET.....etc

How come the nite ops not using any nite vision googles?
They are not supply or what ?
Even SAF infantry have nite vision you know.

I think they were posing for photo shots or demostrating or something. I'm sure they'll be equiped with night-vision equipment during actual training or missions.

2 and 1/2 years and i've never touched NVG before, let alone use it.

Our Guard units have been using nite vision I think for at least ten years loh.

Due to certain reasons best known to the PASKAL PR officer.....some sensitive equipment could not be made public.....like the 3rd generation NVG.Remember the news (in malay about GGK get lucky in 88 or so....killed 2 CT....and in that ops they mentioned NVG.... that was in the late 80's.....in short....certain things are not meant for public views Wink
Shall try to post images of PASKAL exotic weapons like the MP5/M203 combo and FN P90 with suppressor.

Hmmm...guess these colours all very standard across countries... Even TNI the colour also sama sama...
Oh, they wear the Beret the same way (slanted) too....according to pictures...

Ours is much more closer to the way US wears it ("the badge directly over left eye...")

LaPlace, you never touched a NVG before?? Oh-me-god… NVG’s not that fun.. Monocular’s better.. Tho u tend to fall down while doing a section movement with it.. hee.. Cos u can’t see portholes.. We used the NVGs to keep a lookout for officers patrolling, while we’re busy gambling away at our mini-gambling den during excercises! ha.. Jus my little experiences..

Btw, thanks HARIMAU for the pix.. Looks cool.. A pity sg’s very strict on these kinda stuffs… In fact, alot of missions are so classified that only selected soldiers are specially cleared, before able to take part in it… And have to perform missions in outmost secrecy ie: not telling anyone abt it; hiding the equipment from even fellow campmates’ view…. etc..
