I'm sorry. It would be better if people like SBS8002T, kira,
azharjj, lemon1974 comment instead, since they live here.
Thanks.
You probably don't know the situation in Jurong West, since you
do not live here.
The primary function of this route to connect to secondary
schools and JJC, for areas that currently do not have direct bus
connections.
The secondary function is to provide direct bus connection to
Jurong Lake from Jurong West Extension.
The tertiary function is to connect Jurong West residents to the
new mosque at Jurong West Avenue 2.
Demand should be around medium throughout the day, across the
week.
Based on my experience on bus services like 185 and 187, single
decker buses should be adequate.
During peak periods, considering it provides connection to
schools, I expect the bus to be around 3/4 occupied.
During regular hours, considering it provides connection to Hong
Kah Point, Gek Poh Shopping Centre, Pioneer Mall, and other
amenities, I expect the bus to be at least 1/4 occupied.
The loading on this bus service should be better than 91 in
Buona Vista, and about the same as 386 in Punggol.
The route was created with reference to the URA masterplan 2003,
where I used only the main roads to optimise the service.
It will be well-received. :)
Hi mr gekpohboy, sbs 386 is full load with some standees during
peak hours. I witnessed many times. Crowds throng to edgefield
plains end. Cheers. Thanks.
