I realized there hasn't been any direct services between Jurong East and the north/northeast, and all MRT lines along the journey are already highly utilized. Since Jurong East is planned to be our second CBD, a direct route seems necessary:

- More direct link to Suntec City and Orchard for Bedok and East Coast residents.

- A more limited amount of stops along Mountbatten-Upper East Coast Road sector for a quicker connection while still maintaining some for transfer to or from other routes.

- Serves pair of bus stops in CBD along Anson Road/Shenton Way for transfer to bus services into the City before continuing onto Straits Blvd/MCE.

We can suggest 172e (non-stop between CCK Int and Jalan Bahar via KJE) or 180e (non-stop between Boon Lay Int and Bt Batok Rd via PIE).

Or an extended 172e: Boon Lay Int > (non-stop) > CCK MRT > (non-stop) > Bukit Panjang MRT

Last time I also suggested extending 194 to CCK/BPJ via Pioneer Rd North and KJE, to relieve the heavy traffic on KJE and Pioneer Rd North, as well as to provide direct access between Jurong Bird Park and CCK/BPJ.

As LTA hasn't plan any express services between Jurong and CCK/BPJ, I noticed that a number of industries in Jurong provide their own shuttles to/from CCK. (My ex-company in Tuas has shuttles to CCK.) I also heard that NTU initiated its own on-demand shuttle services to/from CCK, BPJ and Yew Tee, via its phone app JalanX.

To many commuters in the east, the attactiveness of 30e was the express sector between Fort Rd and VivoCity. If you want to add a pair of bus stops along Anson Road/Shenton Way, you should do it to trunk route 30 and leave 30e alone, so that you can attract more time-conscious commuters to 30e.

I support the extension of 30e to Boon Lay. The Jurong area lacks a fast bus service to southern/eastern Singapore. Although Jurong has 502, I don't consider 502 as an express service (from a Jurong West resident's perspective) because of the super long travelling time between Soon Lee/Pioneer and Toh Guan Rd.

- Serves a new pair of bus stops along Fernvale Rd and plies Maxwell Rd towards Kampong Bahru.

Objective: Connect new BTOs along st 42. Will skip bus stop along st 31 (alternative: 803 to Yishun, 860 to Ring road hawker center & beyond) and 3 stops along ring road (alternative: 804, 807, 860). This change will also provide faster access for Yishun Ave 11 to MRT in AM, while preserving 804 to ring road. With the change to st 42, the DDs on 806 will get well utilized again, as most people on ring road today prefer to take 807 to Khatib or 807/860 to Yishun MRT. Hence, AM loading on 806 has dropped significantly.
