Wait. Before we dwell into this, we have to understand that this feature was not in the design when the bus was first purchased. That's why we need to customise the auto ramp feature on our own.

As for why the operations is not smooth, it's because the bus was not designed to have the auto ramp, and the auto ramp is later then add in one, that's why now got this problem.

I believe it's just for this bus. Newer buses that come with auto ramp may not have this problem, because the auto ramp would be built into the design; no need for customisation.

What do you mean by customize? These should have been standard features.

The automatic ramp is integrated into the door design, because they work together with the operation of the ramp switch. I am fine with it slightly open if the need be, but the door should not slam shut during deployment - waiting passengers will not feel comfortable, and for kids it is an accident waiting to happen.

In that case, someone is trying to peddle their wares...and LTA obviously has no clue why they would want an automatic ramp in the first place.

Whatever happened to intuitive design?!

At this rate, we are going to have several SG5999Zs and SG4002Gs down the road. And each bus is going to have directional stickers every 1m apart as what you already find on SG5999Z, and passengers will continue to ignore them.

why must sbst? it still at TT 143 and fully tested with full load of people every day.
