What do you think of Skype?

I use it to replace my MSN which the IT dept has blocked using firewall.

I think it's cool... but sometimes, the msg is like.... delayed for a couple of hours.

Other than that, I think it's cool. We don't need to pay Singtel unnecessary money to talk to friends in overseas.

unlikely they will find out la..

but one warning..they will be a irritating advertisment bar at the btm of the screen..but it will allow u to bypass without any problem.. Laughing

i think this one can work behind firewalls la... i installed on my office comp also, never failed....

cos the nature of our work is such that we need to call international clients, then sometimes our VoIP/SIP softphone got problem then all crowd to my computer to make calls, then i can go tea break liao.... Laughing

Ok... I will try that tomorrow on my own PC first before recommending to my colleagues. Sekali the advertisement bar very big or super irritating... my colleagues will all kill me.

I think Skype is cool also because if I log off from office and then come home and connect to Skype, it will automatically bring me back to the group chat that I was in earlier and shows all the things that were talked about when I was not online.

Is skype a free programme? I heard from my friend that we need to pay for it…

You don't have to pay for it, but you need to purchase credits in order to use Skype to dial up ordinary telephones/cellphones.

Tried it today.

You're right. It's so easy to connect to MSN.

And you're right again, the advertising bar is extremely irritating. I un-install it almost immediately....hahah

I just found this link. My ex colleagues managed to download MSN from here and chat on MSN without being blocked by the firewall.

How does it work ah?
