So looks like 85% confirmed that 99 is gg to be extended. I feel it is quite good to let the bus terminate somewhere...

sv 99 serves a huge purpose as major intra-town between Jurong West and East... It serves so many malls/shopping centers/business parks/polyclinics/schools and HDBs ofcourse that invariably this service is notorious for huge delays and bunching issue.

The looping point is quite far away and makes some buses heavily crowded due to delays, and then bcoz of bunching other buses are empty.

So it is a wise decision to have sv 99 terminate at Joo Koon. This will really improve the efficiency of the service + connect the entire Jurong town to Joo Koon. So those working there can directly transfer to another bus at Joo Koon rather than taking feeder bus to MRT, MRT to Joo Koon and then bus.

I think 99 extension will be popular and I think the additional buses on account of extension should be all WEGs.

True also. I also would think that there would be a dual depot control. Besides 99, I would also suggest that 241 will start from Joo Koon too and then looping at St 61... Is it visible?

Nope. You cannot get a service operating at 03-04 min peak frequency to go to Joo Koon. 241 is doing amazingly well with full loadings.. there is no reason to extend it. Plus when 99 is extended, it serves the purpose already.

I might think 99 will be transfer to Soon Lee Depot and the starting point will be Joo Koon instead of Clementi.Just nice 99 can joint 98 and 97 sequence at SL.

There are ten new bus stops at Jurong West Street 91 and 93 which Trunk bus 99 will call from 21 November 2015.

Two are opposite existing bus stops, Two are completely new bus stops at Jurong West Street 91. Six are completely new bus stops at Jurong West Street 93.

It's not about how many, but where the new pairs of bus stop are located. That one pair of new bus stop at Jurong West Street 91 is meant to improve accessibility to bus services for people staying at blks 901-911. Feeder bus 241 may call at one of the pair at a later date.

Whereas for the new pairs of bus stop at Jurong West Street 93, the first pair is at the market area, the second pair is at the stadium. The third pair is at the open field.

The bus stop at tamp av 9 open for public boarding/alighting. sv 27, 168 to call at these bus stop. sv 168 run time increase by 2 min each direction la.

Oh... Sorry, I thought it's Changi City Point.

Anyway I was talking about the temporary roundabout in front of Expo MRT and Changi City Point. There were rumours some time ago that 20 will have additional bus stops there.
