Did anyone notice the # rigids spammed on 912 and 913 to
make it WAB friendly. They did the same for 911, 811 and
901 as well when they made them WAB.
Such a pity that SMRT has to resort to this to make the WAB
quota.
What happened to bendies providing better use in
feeders/intra-towns? If the way to do it is by making bendies 50%
of fleet for once full time bendy fleet, I don't think SMRT has
thought through its strategy well.
For instance, 911 has 15 buses... is it really efficient to do
that and have a bus every 02-04 mins just because you don't want to
deploy DDs.
Moreover, there is no more bendies to make 300, 900, 806 bendy
in future unless they take out bendies from 858 to accommodate one
service. DDs will have to appear on SMRT feeders/intra-towns sooner
or later, or get used to having 3 rigids and then 1 bendy in
future.
Just wait for SMRT or LTA to order another batch of A24 to
replace Mark 2 buses, around 2016/2017 ...
SD is a no-no for 912 and 913 ...
DD on 913 still acceptable between WRI and W Circle ...
