Yes 83 is an important service just that it doesn't need the DDs, especially with Punggol Central getting full fleet DDs with 85 and awesome frequency on sv 3, in addition to 136 and 386 in the first 2 stops of Punggol Central.

sv 189 seems to be operating with only 2 or 3 DDs now. Can someone confirm? Apparently 189 now has fleet of 15 buses operating at 05-06 minutes frequency for full route and between BBT Ave 6 -> BBT Interchange, operating at frequency of 03 minutes during peak hours.

Due to addition of rigids, 3 DDS -> 3 SDs.

Please confirm if news is true.

Ok so basically 189 got downgraded from 6 DDs, 7 SDs to 2 DDs, 11 SDs. Consistent with my observation 2 weeks back when I spent time in Bukit Batok industrial area.

I think it is okay though given that frequency is superb after cutting short the route from Kent Ridge, yet maintaining same number of buses. In my observation, in Bukit Batok st 21/ave 6, 189 comes every 03 minutes due to 189/189A. Opposite direction towards Clementi Ave 1, have bus every 06 minutes. Superb frequency.

Yes that's what I meant.

When SBST xfer 83 to GAS,Its only 8 SDs based on their deployment..Its LTA that supply those DDs.AMDEP xfer 15 SDs and 2 DDs for svc 136 to GAS.I am one of the BCs which involved in the mass transfer.

Surprisingly 301 has not got the massive rigid fleet add, instead SMRT has been smart on this one to upgrade to bendies.

Probably because of the Sungei Tengah Lodge dormitory starting to fill up, resulting in higher foreign labour pax during peak hours along Old CCK Rd.

960 got 6 buses added, mostly DDs in the last 3 months, operating with 35 buses.

Basically, the entire BPJ -> CBD services have got major fleet add/capacity upgrade in terms of DDs. 700 lesser than 190, 960, 972 but still got.
