Famines and droughts have been going on in that country for many
years, plus there's ever-growing aids problem, child abuse, among
others, but there's very little reported about them in this part of
the world....as if they don't matter. 
There is no way that poor country can ever get on its feet without
help from other countries. That's why you see some celebrities
supporting various causes in their aid. I think we, in our cushy
part of the world should be aware, at the very
least.
