Why have the concept that new cars always expensive and old cars
alway cheap? There are hell lots of problem with old cars and
second hand dealers.
If u want depreciation between 5K-6K per year, go for Vios. Selling
price 57K and parf about 5.5K. Depreciation about 5k per
year.
Better still if u want depreciation below 5k, go for Kia Picanto.
Selling price only 45k and parf about 4K. Depreciation about 4k per
year.
I would suggest go for new car because:
1) First few years lower chance of break down, air-con, compressor
etc
2) better fuel consumption rate
3) 100% problem free, as kenna fine in Malaysia etc
4) Lower interest rate
5) no wear and tear problem. Tyres, clutch slip, timing belt, brake
disc/shoes, dirty seats, torn wiper, clog exhust pipe, dirty,
clutch/brake/ATF oil.... etc
What for buy a second hand car which isn't any cheaper and have
hell lots of headache like repare, wear & tear and break
down?
BTW, the second hand car depreciate at 3.3k per year may have a
catch. Check that the COE is not $1 or $100 etc....there is one
lady in newspaper that bought a so call cheap second hand car but
when scrap, get back few hundred bucks only.
