pool.gal SG so many... max lucado is one... for the 'weng2' type, more cheem but definitely more insightful - Philip Yancey.
the Bear SG the only Christian book i ever read was Nicky Cruz's book... Run Baby Run - the Cross and the Switchblade
M SG Ah yes Cross and the Switchblade.. David Wilkerson Jackie Pullinger for the accounts in the walled city of hong kong, Chasing the Dragon.
the Bear SG David Wilkerson? thought it was a story about Nicky Cruz... written by himself? oh well.. it was really half a lifetime ago...
M SG Run Baby Run is Nicky's autobiography, Rev Wilkerson wrote Cross and the Switchblade, he was the one who went to minister to Nicky and gang. Yeah, it was long time back indeed... Nuts, why aren't ya sleeping?
the Bear SG what's the "left behind" series? currently going through Irvine Welsh's Glue and Porno as well as Banana Yoshimoto's 2 latest efforts...
pool.gal SG looks your interest quite varied. The left behind series is written by Tim Lahaye (with a co-author, which i memory is unable to retrieve his name). It's based on the book of Revelation in the bible
sillyme SG i liked the first few books of the left behind series.. after the first few books, it got draggy and i got tired of it.. where have u read till? i stopped at nicholae..
sillyme SG it's a novel series about end times.. quite interesting how they interprete the bible and write it into a story..
pool.gal SG me too. initially very excited... but the waiting time for each paperback very long so huh... sianz already... haven't read it in years ; p
M SG Yes kirk of "growing pains" fame, but I watched it in my church, they feature various films (local and foreign) almost bi-monthly.
