fr8dog SG I was a signaller in an infantry brigade and we wore green berets like everyone else in the unit. Most of my platoon mates from SoS went to an armour brigade and when I saw them, they had black berets.
wuming78 SG hm.. this is confusing. i cant figure this out too. but i haf a fren who went SOS and after passing out became the BSO of an inf unit. he went on wearing his blue beret regardless.
Xprobe SG Depends on the estab, if BMT-SOS come out as BSO into SP Platoon, then blue beret. Armour formation all BLACK as far as I know. Other formation - get to wear formation color is go through conversion course.

Xprobe SG Know this for sure - if send by unit, go back to unit with whatever color beret. BMT-SAFINCOS or OCS-SOS, then Blue Beret. (NSF) But, my platoon mate who went BMT-SOS-Armour wears a Black one. ???
