Next match must win! I hate to lose! But must admit the opponents are quite strong, and I was flat out of breath towards end of 2nd half to be running.

Alfred75 SG

Laughing <==== So happy we won!!

That stupid dance was a stupid trick pass I screwed up, but at least it got everybody (including the opponents) dumbfounded and stranded on the spot as they try to figure out what the hell I was trying to do ... haha ... I also feel very dumb over the incident :p

Was a pretty good game, but I felt we could have done better. We need to play to our full potential, but at least we won at 70% of our abilities - that tells just how good we could be ....

Russ ... chalet chalet chalet!!

Max_Velocity78 SG

Yeh, its a great game!
Dun wana take anything away from the team effort, but i still feel dat i've to highlight the great and brave individual effort from our custodian Colin.

The most obvious difference between the 2 teams is the keeper.

ahlians SG

Haiz.... The stoopid dog(colin) didn't do much lahz!! If you guys keep this up his empty head will keep swelling!! Wink Heng he doesn't hv enough brains to figure out how to get to this forum... although i think one day someone shd really teach him!! Just like to add that the performance on sunday was fantastic!! After games like this... really can't wait for the next match man!! To all the guys that visit but seldom add yr post... pls contribute!!(hehe leading by example!)

Juz wanna add one more thing... in light of the tiny outburst on sunday... jus wanna say that i may be alittle noisy on the field shouting and kao peing all the time but pls dun take it to heart all of you... b'cos it's jus i take the matches very seriously...hope i dun offend anyone without knowing !! PEACE to all!! Cool ...signing off... scarface!!

kai28 SG

frustrations and outbursts on the field are simply part and parcel of the game. i guess it's inevitable when u hv 11 individuals with differing views and opinions trying to operate as a unit.

i myself had my fair share of outbursts in the past but what i learnt from those incidents is that losing your temper doesn't do any good to your game.. and in the heat of the moment u say things that u dun mean which u will regret later.

as such, going into reds' second season, my new season resolution is to keep my temperament in check (with my own team mates as well as the opponents) and try to be a useful player to the team.

wateva happened last sunday, i hope both parties can put that behind them coz they are important players to the team. conflicts are ever present in any team but a good team sticks together no matter wat. probably the reason why i decided to come back... Cool

Max_Velocity78 SG

Just wana back up Russell's pt on the outbursts.

We should try to keep out heads cool during games and especially towards our own teammates. Outburst should'nt have taken place. Do try "talk out" the problem, and maybe it'll also help by watching our words alittle betta.
Guess we should try restrain the words and gestures that will probably incur the wrath of the teammates ya.

We're all humans, we're not perfect, but we can always try to improve ourselves ya?

Cheers!!!! Long live Reds FC !!!! Mr. Green

second consecutive win and clean sheet for Reds FC!! yippee!! Cool

gotta say i'm really enjoying our games these past few weeks. the team spirit is just great. today's game was by no means pretty but we fought hard, ploughing the padi field and eating mud along the way, and earned yet another win. and once again 2 thumbs up to alfred for the encore performance of his infamous dance number. Mr. Green

let's keep up the winning ways! Cool

Nat su Cow SG

Very Happy
Im glad we finally dropped the curse I was starting to get very worried.......

Enjoyable game considering the conditions although today im in a mess - thought Id celebrate our victory by consuming copious anounts of beer, wine and JD!

Feeling very rough now and this post is just to justify to myself that I have done something constructive today Confused

Merry xmas & happy New year to the Reds

Laughing
u deserved the victory dude..that was one solid game u had on sunday. Cool

I thought Ah Yap was the other outstanding one who deserves mentioning..fought hard and was consistently harassing the opponents' defence..unselfish play and some brave challenges as well. shades of noh alam shah there! Cool

Nat su Cow SG

Has anyone got spots on their legs?

My legs have come out in loads of white spots after the game on Sunday - think the mud or water must have been manky! - think I may have Singapore jungle rot!

yapster79 SG

Thanks Kai, you are too kind. No white spots for me, just abrasions caused by the constant challenges from their keeper.

kai28 SG

dun noe about u guys but i thought today's game was probably the most boring, uneventful game we've had so far! Rolling Eyes
but i felt we did ok..at least we kept our recent run of games without defeat in tact. Cool
looking fwd to next game..the other pitches that had juz been done up looks good. Wink

yapster79 SG

Very Happy Happy New Year Red's! Best wishes!

Shadow_R SG

The last match was the most forgettable match we've played and I really look forward to the next game... Rolling Eyes

Predator SG

Really looking forward to play in such a expensive district area for this Sun's game. Btw, I am glad I am the 1st person to post in this page for the year 2004.

Hope this would be a wonderful year for everyone of us, be it the working or still having examinations pal! Wink Razz

Alfred75 SG

Where are the match reports??!! No reports, nothing for me to read ... I want to read about Khai's dive in the penalty box Smile

kai28 SG

pls ah..it's called SIMULATION!!!
diving is something u do in water.. Mr. Green
my knee is still swollen from that fall.. Crying or Very sad

Shadow_R SG

Haha... It is good that we start off the year with a victory... even if it resulted from 3 "good" goals!!! Mr. Green

ahlians SG

hey hey... totally agree... 3 superb well taken goals!! Wink

Shadow_R SG

Guys, although we allowed our opponents to draw level with us at 2-2, I think we had a superb game. With practically no reserves, we managed to last the whole game at quite a consistent level. Considering this is still the CNY and HRH period, that is pretty good.... Mr. Green

I also want to highlight that Richard had an awsome game on Sunday! His positioning and reading of the game was superb.

Well done guys, looking forward to the next match... but I better try to run during the week...

Robin.G SG

It's been a while since I last came into here. Looks like things have quieten down a lot. I enjoyed myself on Sun but definitely need to catch up on my fitness. Sori I had to leave earlier cos' of work. Have been pretty much occupied and busy with work. Hope you guys understand.

In any case, my observation was that our team seems to be geling up pretty well in terms of passes and positioning. Robin Yap seem to have improved greatly on his fitness making endless runs, beating the defenders most of the time. Reading by our defenders have improved too. I agree with Russ, I think Richard had a awesome game. Well done!!Keep it up.

I am on day shift this Sun so I'm out once and again. Enjoy the game. Cheers.
