Official Site Updates:

The main site's MS profiles were also updated:

-Celestial Being-
MS:
GNR-001D GN Arms Type-D
Overall length: 47.4 m
Overall width: 36.2 m
Overall height: 15.3 m
Armament: Long-range beam cannon, super large GN missle pod
"A GN Armor combination of a GN Arms and the Dynames, called the Type D to distinguish it from the Exia-use version. Able to be used even without a pilot in the GN Arms thanks to the support of Haro, it can't be controlled independently after separating. Has specialized equipment for artillery combat, including a long-range beam cannon and super large GN missle pod."

-Union-
MS:
SVMS-01O Over Flag
Head height: 17.9 m
Base weight: 69.7 t
"The custom unit of the Over Flags, the anti-Gundam investigation team officially established within the Union forces as a parent organization. The end of the model number carries the designation 'O (Over)'. Similar to Graham's custom SVMS-01E Custom Flag, it's equipped with a high-output flight unit and includes a number of enhancements compared to the normal Flag. But it doesn't use hazard factors like an anti-G limiter release."

SVMS-01X Union Flag Custom II (nickname "GN Flag")
Head height: 17.9 m
Base weight: 74.2 t
"A Flag equipped with a pseudo-solar furnace. Created by Billy to meet Graham's expectations. Disregarding the original design, it largely lacks unit balance in order to force the installation of a pseudo-solar furnace. To use its main armament, a beam saber, it's necessary to move the solar furnace from the back to the arm. The subthrusters on the legs have the functionality of defense rods."

-AEU-
MS:
AEU-09Y812/A Saachez Custom AEU Enact Custom Agrissa Type
Head height: 17.6 m
Base weight: 66.2 t
"A tuned-up, improved prototype of the Enact for the PMC's Saachez. The blade rifle comes out from the tip of the large sonic blade. Increasing the amount of fixed armaments, the sonic blade is built into the arm. The unit's appearance comes from a special coating for dealing with plasma."

Agrissa
"A large weapon deployed during the 5th Solar Conflict. Used in combination with a mobile suit. It employs a powerful plasma field. The unit's appearance comes from a special coating for dealing with plasma."

AEU-05G AEU Hellion (PMC color)
Head height: 15.4 m
Base weight: 67.0 t
"AEU Hellion ground-type. Armor reinforced and without flight capabilities. The ones used by the PMC aren't especially different from the AEU version."

AEU-05 AEU Hellion Capture Type
Head height: 15.4 m
Base weight: 58.2 t
"Hellion with special equipment to capture Gundams. Its linear shield captures targets through strong control of its own magnetic properties. Common materials can't break free as long as the power supply lasts. Naturally, a Gundam is no exception."

I just finished watching season 1. Its so sad! :( so many people die... I thought lockon will carry on to season 2 :( Personally, not enough action to whet my appetite from this season.. still prefer SD and Seed. I wonder is Felt the daughter of Lacus Clyne.

PART 1:

Ok then.

The first part of the interview is Mizushima praising his staff, congratulating certain members of his team, etc.

He says that the easier characters to work with, after Soma and Marina, were Sergei and Shirin. OTOH, the hardest one was Setsuna (laughs)

Marina will get more screentime in Season 2. He says that she got the short end of the stick during production, and that he's got a fame for being TEH SUCK when it comes to portraying heroines (laughs again)

Graham is twisted. He fights to hog the spotlight.

Sergei sees battle as his duty and keeps his gaze on the life beyond it. Graham might be completely dividing.

Episode 1 left an impression on the whole story. The hardest episodes were from 11 to 13 (T: the Azadistan arc); they were also the most popular with adults.

They received a lot of criticism for dropping things and taking it easy during the first half. 'That's when the "WORK BETTER" switch got pressed' (laughs) It lifted their spirits and the show got better as a result. While discussing series production, they resolved to put special care into MS' evasive maneuvers; the animators were part of this discussion as well.

PART 2

Four Gundams will be introduced in the second season. The Gundams will make use of the Meisters' special qualities, like a software upgrade. It seems it'll be unpleasant to use.

Ace pilots will be on the Earth Federation's MS. A GN-X Custom will appear as well. It will use a fake GN Drive.

That masked man appearing at the end [of S1] should be called "Face Man". It had been decided from the beginning that he would wear that "face". He wears it due to a certain "change". Mizushima thinks people will laugh at his transformation into a strong character.

'"What the hell is this stupid director doing?', they'll say (laughs)"

We'll understand why Shirin departed in the first episode of the second season. A new character will be introduced alongside her.

(stuff about pics from the scan comes here; it seems the interview ends. There's something about a Mizushima Q&A compilation and concept art in the 'last volume', but I've got no idea what it refers to.)

Concept Art:

Q&A

- There's a reasoning behind the selection criteria for Meisters. Setsuna has a very particular reason.

- Tieria's secret will be revealed in S2; Lockon might have known it by intuition.

- Japan is a country specializing in technology during the 00 era. There are Union bases along almost all of its coast.

- Shirin was personally selected by Marina as her political advisor. They were also classmates during college.

- Hong Long is not just a bodyguard. He's related to royalty.

(cont'd)

PART 3:

- Hong Long is not just a bodyguard. He's related to royalty. It will all be explained in S2 as well

(sorry, missed that in the last post )

- S2 will reveal the secret discovered by Prof. Eifmann.

- Aeolia's ultimate goal is not a bad thing. This is important.

- Only fake GN particles cause cell damage. In addition, DNA is warped only when it comes into contact with the output of things such as beam weapons.

- Lockon was convinced that there were no differences with Tieria's body. That episode might have set the line for S2.

- Whether Hallelujah is dead or not is a secret (laughs)

- The truth about Ribbons' body is in S2. Same with the Innovator.

- Sumeragi and Feldt will show up during Episode One of S2.

- Why does Regene resemble Tieria so much? That's for S2 (laughs)
