I not sure how you guys are going to do it, but according to
some modelling ppl, its very tricky when it comes to chrome and
gold coating, so some ppl do this:
1. Submerge the entire runner (parts attached) into bleach (or for
some hard core ppl, brake fluid which ya know is extremly
poisonous) to remove the gold paint/chrome.
2. Take out and wash with water, dry.
3. Spray entire runner with gold color from an airbrush or spray
can.
4. Apply gloss coat, and proceed with assembly.
This might be protocol to some hardcore modellers (really no joke,
ya can aske Caleb's Toy at Sunshine, they do this), but we have our
own ways huh, me not so many time to prepare solution and repaint
it...
