These rich kids need to be wack. Fancy posting a little bit and comes here screw everyone. Every one of us just trying to make the best out of our ride, and I guess all of us have our pride. It is super un-justified to post messages like this, showing no courtesy what-so-ever.

The way he post, venting his anger from his road experience only means he could lose his head someday and cause some serious trouble on the road. Look at his text, simply-put is that it is fine to fool around with his big car. Mentality need to change.

If anything, he's prob someone who has a job n worked hard to buy a sports car. maybe a silvia? or something like that. thats my impression of him.

that shown the imature side of him. Although we all share the part about that driver problem, but generalizing all the modded cars like this seems child-like. So this contribute to the "kid" part.

If you are riding a sport-car, wouldn't the insurance, road tax, petrol, maintence kill you? So that contributes the "Rich" part.

Of course I know he isn't a kid anymore, but this is childish. What does he hope to accomplish by posting something like that? We already have topics that talks about tailgater, signal-ness, zig-zag ziggers, hoggers. And all these only targets drivers, never models.

Anyway, I guess I am the one who started it then. Sorry for publicly voicing my opinion. Anyway, I still think Merc are bad. Evil or Very Mad

actually, i kinda think that the way ppl dress up their cars speaks volumes bout the driver.

not agreeing with the topic starter here, but i think there's some sense in what he's trying to say.

i personally dun find anything wrong with drivers of vios, city, matrix or whatever cars he mentioned in general. heck, some of my closest friends own those cars and they are really passionate bout souping up, keeping their babes in show condition and i respect them for what they do for their cars.

its really those ppl who get the idea that a low budget sedan can be made to look and perform like a performance vehicle twice or more times their price that really gets on my nerves sometimes. face it, what kinda message r u sending out when u have a phat bodykit, neon lights, racing sticker schemed car driving like a twerp on sg roads?

and i guarantee u that there are such young punks/ old foggies he mentioned prowling the roads. its just the way he makes a sweeping remark categorizing everyone in that genre that i can't swallow. Wink

Yup, i think the thread starter made pple angry with his sweeping statement. I've nothing against lower priced car-drivers. I drive my dad's humble ford mondeo only. To us, a car is just to get from one place to another...

I personally feel it's pointless to spend so much to soup up a car when it's fundamentally just a low priced car. But this is just my personal opinion of coz. I respect the fact that some pple are willing to spend their hard earned money on little upgrades here n there. N some really look nice, but seriously, i've seen many eye sores. It looks horrible for some, totally trying to pass off as something else. It's like telling the general public that this person cannot afford the more expensive thing, so no choice, have to get the cheaper one.

I'm not a car modder, I see myself juz as a general member of the public n shake my head in disbelief when i see some real eye sores which are totally disgusting. Some even try to pass off as other brands! But like i've said earlier, there are some really nice cool ones. Key is not overdo it until the car looks like a bloody clown on the road.

A humble and modest budget car is still the best. Why bother wasting money to be a poser? Save up money well, invest, go earn more money n buy that dream sports car whatever it is.

It's an irony sometimes... the expensive sports cars drivers dun dress up their car as their humble presence draws natural ooohs n admirations. But on the other hand, there are monkeys who try very hard at telling everyone they want to be a clown on the road by making their car extra flashy, stupid looking n draw attention to it. And as a member of the public, we seriously can only enjoy the comic relief.

Well, its all about substance and having the ability to be yourself.There is nothing wrong with playing dress-up IMHO, because for every Porsche, there is RUF, for every Benz, there is AMG and for every BMW, there is Hamann Motorsports.If you drive well and not get on the nerves of people, that should be good enough.

Although I'm quite humoured by the lack of taste that some people have in dressing-up their cars, who am I to criticise and jerk them off for their taste.Yeah I hate them but isn't free will what makes us all humans?

Cool it and who knows the fellow in a tacky Kia or Vios might one day drive a better car than you?Everyone starts somewhere and a superiority complex does no good.

I totally agree.How often have you seen a flashily dressed man driving a RUF turbo or an Aston Martin?But the opposite goes for cars that look like a mix between a painted chihuahua of Paris Hilton and wannabe Learjet.

The extremes are the ones who get the laughs.But wise upgrades do not a clown make.

Different people do different things to their car, and to me, all is a act by itself. A beauty to me might be otherwise for you. It is like going in front of a fat lady in reviewing clothes and say "can't you wear something else?". (Ops, sorry, my idea of an eye sore.) I still think moddings to look good or like the sport version brother is OK. But generally driving dangerously isn't, not matter what car you have.

By the way, which are the horrible looking ones? Got pictures, cause I can't visionlize it. But 2 subaru with the same kits, I can't really tell the differences between a WRX and a Impreza.

Burn out? Just that 1 fine day, at least 5 different Merc do funny things to me. So TL that I generalize them together. Gone were the days where Merc drivers are the safest drivers around, cause of the care the drivers have for their cars.
