the Bear SG wasn't the story actually.. it was the "facts" part of the book.. there have been many books written which were blasphemous in the eyes of christians, but no reaction.. this book attempts to portray a lot of lies as facts.. that pissed off the christians, not the story..
vito_corleone SG no offense but shouldnt people with a clear conscience be not the least bit alarmed when accusations are hurled at them?
Kuali Baba SG We're not worried for the strong ones but for those whose foundation is weaker and are more easily swayed. And we are not ashamed to speak out against lies and hoaxes purported to be truth.
xfool SG isn't it just a novel, wats teh big deal anyway? for those interested just watch the arts central on wednesday 10 pm
Kuali Baba SG In the prologue, the author claims it's based on scandalous facts, which are actually hoaxes. Note that the documentaries which try to support the claim did not mention Pierre Plantard, the creator of the Priory tale.
dinky1409 SG I think Singapore should have our very own one. The Zubir Said Code. One day a SGforumner, Dinky1409, was surfing the internet. Skali, got popup Singapore flag. He clicked on the flag and our very own national anthem song played on the speakers. But when he click to close the popup window, the songs started playing backwards. It sounded funny but scary and he can't close the song. Towards the end, the song sounded as if someone said, " And the treasure is at..." It was incomplete! ~To be Continued~ How can make movie or not? Who wanna sponsor me?
chenc SG All day long you see christians out there trying to convert people to believe in their religion. This can be a big fuss but did anyone complain? Yet when a book purely for entertainment got such popularity, you guys started to protest. Yes, we can respect your religion. But did you respect us in the first place. If somebody choose to read and believe whats in the book, shouldn't you just leave them alone instead of complaining all day about the lies in the book and what negative impact it will bring when made into a movie. Get a life
dahliamorie SG Dan Brown's other books are pretty nice too. Especially "Digital Fortress", my personal favourite. And if, the things that Dan Brown mentioned in the book were true, I'd be really surprised. Blood line of Christ and stuff like that.
chenc SG Hey same here. Very nice non-religious story so those ppl out there cannot complain about this 1 Can't wait for its movie version, if they are planning any
I_love_my_toilet SG Hmm would this hypotheses by Dan Brown create the same storm if it concerns other religions ? Got this feel that he is trying to make big bucks out of christianity. 1/3 of the world population are christians though.
angrynor SG biggest but the most divided? And if you wanna include Islam and Jews...? Looking back at the history, IMHO, it is also one of the religion most associated with wars etc...? No offence thou.
