Allen.Iverson SG saosin is emo. coheed and cambria is ALSO emo. punk rock is never associated with emo. a7x is not like C&C. their influences are metallica, slayer, pantera, megadeth stuff like that... i like living dead beat by CoB as well =)
Hellraiza SG how about chthonic, this really good taiwanese black metal band? Their bassist Doris is oh SO hot... saosin is not metalcore, neither is atreyu you guys, what about local bands? And please don't state the obvious and predictable...
Allen.Iverson SG duno leh local got no good metal bands...at least none that i know of... even if have i doubt they match the skills and songwriting ability of the european and american metal bands.... btw. atreyu is metalcore...
coffeeortea SG i think it is really hard to classify these bands etc under their genres, because when i went on different websites, the genres for these songs are different, i think it is like jazz, because you really cannot define jazz
coffeeortea SG however, i dont think bands like good charlotte and dashboard confessional are punk rock, more like pop rock to me.
Allen.Iverson SG these christian european nations also come out with the most number of satanic anti christ metal bands lol…
sohguanh SG these christian european nations also come out with the most number of satanic anti christ metal bands lol... So now it has shifted to european nations huh? All along I thot the US bands like Slayer lead the way. It seem times has changed a lot indeed. So now is King Diamond and Mercyful Fate still around and kicking?
Hellraiza SG ah a fellow fan... i saw some photos on their website, got this guest vocalist join them during their 10 years anniversary...quite chio also! but don't know who's that..i only managed to find ONE of their albums here in SG...and even that was the last album. Might be going TW to get their stuff.. btw to me swedish/norwegian bands are the best. the swedish have really brutal riffs (the haunted/at the gates) and norwegians have really epic sounding stuff
SingaporeMacross SG Did you buy it from the Army Market? I saw one shop there selling metal CDs, and they had their poster on display.
Allen.Iverson SG huh?? eh tell me where the metal cd retailer is leh!!!!! i wanna go!!! wheres the army market??
SingaporeMacross SG army market is beach road hawker center... aiya, go upstairs and find la.. there's only one shop that sells those.
Allen.Iverson SG omg chthonic is a satanic/antichrist black metal band??!!! i just saw a pic of one of their members with the inverted cross necklace. wtf? who bothers about christianity in taiwan?? i thought its a predominantly buddhist country???
