The main error is that the Enigma code was never retrieved by
the Americans. Although this was somewhat mentioned at the end of
the show to give credit to the British who captured the Enigma
codes, it was too little too late, nobody remembers them
anyway!
I do know that when this show was fisrt released,, it caused a
considerable amount of indignant among the British war veterans and
the British public as well. To them, it was a rip-off of the
gallantry of the Royal Navy, in which they have an immense pride
in, and I dare say still do.
Ah, If only more of our countrymen could have more of such pride in
our Armed Forces...
