Please let me share my experience:
I have a 4 yr old Sunny (Auto N16, Pre-FL). Already exceed 100K
km.
Over the years, I have felt dissatisfied with the FC of this model,
as I have previously driven the Pulsar. I felt like I visited the
petrol station so often. But, I never really calculated the FC. It
was based on "feeling".
Recently, I had the inspiration to do so and these are the
results:
No. of trials: 2
Petrol: Mobil 92.
Method: Top up to full tank, drive till half tank and record
mileage.
Road condition: Working weekdays, Morning and Evening traffic jams
through CTE + CBD + near Orchard areas + HDB areas.
No. of passengers: 75% 1 driver + 1 passenger, and 25% 1 driver
only.
Driving Style: Quite light footed. Avoid revving beyond 3000
RPM.
Result: 9.0km/L.
I was somewhat surprised! I compared it with other postings in
various forums and found this is pretty normal for 1.6L cars after
all. (Of course, there are much better FCs around)
Hope it helps.
