Singapore small arms being used in Aceh?

Not quite true. my men and I charged up the hills during live firing at SAFTI. The 100 live rounds drum mag with the SAW performed beautifully with sustained fire power without stoppages. All of the SAW gunners like to fire the live rounds (100) drum mag with the SAW.

When firing blanks, the SAW is a little letdown and always jamed.

Blanks dun have enuff power to cycle the gun properly…

Haha ya i hear from all my friends that the saw is one of the most fun guns to fire. And the fact that it doesnt jam often is a plus

On the topic of SAWs-
Some time back, I seem to recall seeing a SAR21 SAW version with a heavy barrel, bipod and from the description - fires from an open bolt, on the former SAR21 website. The website no longer exists - and on ST's site, there is no mention of it anymore. I assume that the idea could be dropped (only the basic, GL, MMS and P-rail versions are shown now). If that is the case, will there be an improved Ultimax 100 (Mk 4?) or maybe even something new?

how many versions of SAR-21 are available now? i heard there is 5 version including one with RIS system Laughing

Indonesia's military has sent three dozen British-made Scorpion tanks to Aceh province, a move which could upset London.

Indonesia launched an offensive to crush the Free Aceh Movement (GAM), which has sought independence.

Indonesian military officials said the 36 tanks arrived in the western province on Sunday and will be used to guard roads.

The military has already used British-made Hawk fighter jets there.

Britain sold the tanks and jets on the basis they would not be used for offensive operations against separatists.

British officials have raised the issue of the jets with Jakarta. However, Jakarta has insisted there has been no breach because the jets were not used for bombing but for surveillance.

A British embassy spokeswoman in Jakarta said any questions about the tank deployment had to be directed to London.

Some 300 people have been killed since the Aceh military offensive began on May 19.

The atrocities committed by the TNI & Kopassus in the indonesian bush-fires are well documented. But that's not the issue here

What i like to comment is this hypocrisy of the west about their arms-sales policies such as the above.

Hey, i mean, the reputation of the TNI have already preceded them in the western countries who sold those armaments. They should know better...that those weapons will mostly likely be used internally. So they shouldn't give this bullshit about being upset!

By being in the arms trade, you've sold your half your soul to the devil - so don't judge. Those euro creeps should get off their high horse and stop telling people what to do with their weapons. Once it's sold, it belongs to the owner who has the right to what they wanna do with it.
