Well, sorry must come with sincerity, no matter the ego
My take on sorry is that to say sorry, you must either acknowledge
there is something fully wrong with what you have done or said, or
you wish to cool a potential conflict that is really not
important.
If not, I think the value of sorry is diminished. I should know,
someone I know apologised to stall for time before reigniting the
conflict at an opportune time. i think sorry has just begun to
become a new useful tool to further self interest.
