Blue screen (also known as chroma keying) is a method used by
movie makers to place a live object in a virtual place.
Lets say superman flying in the air. Superman will stand in front
of a screen (usually blue or green in colour) and his 'flying
actions' are recorded by the camera. The footage is then imported
into the editing system to remove the blue background and replace
with another, in this case, perhaps the sky or even a video zooming
through the clouds.
