Mercury_1 SG

Someone here mentioned a workshop that respray rims that got scratched. Does anyone know the workshop details? or any other service which is similiar? And how good the results are when its done? Cheers! Smile

Try called and ask, i am still considering to get new rims or to spray...

That guy only provides spraying...he DOES NOT mend your scratches.

if your rims are scratched and it is NOT originally chrome, you can try Yew Lip at Sin Ming Industrial Park. They will use putty to mend you scratches, smoothen them out and then spray them again.

They can do for chrome too..just that the result is that there is no paint like chrome so end up that scratched part will be painted silver..

barely noticable but if you have a lot of scratches...then your chrome will be replaced with silver.

can check this thread for his updated colours available...the colours really seem quite nice...contemplating metallic graphite for my new rims.

Thanks for the info guys!
I'll probably check out the workshops first, The guy's work on yahoo looks good but it looks more of a respray job, I'm not sure how well he can do up the scratches. Either case I'm comtemplating if I should do up this one rim or wait till more scratches (hope not) come about then go down and fix it one shot heh.

I'll try to make some inquiries. If I dig up some prices I'll post it here in case anyone's considering of doing the same Wink

For the price, please do post it. Cause I also scratched my rims. Say how did you scratch yours? I got mine at the multi-storey carpark at parkway. There is this little concrete thing that force you to filter to the right to exit the carpark. Scratch both my right rims.

I kanna mine at the Orchard Cineleisure. Seems that there were concrete curbs on both sides of the ramp. Poor estimatation on my part too Mr. Green

Okay the quotes as promised. Rather 1 quote

They charge $25 per rim, pretty reasonable (for curb scratches). And will try to match the color of the original. one rim will take about 2 - 2 1/2 hrs. Closes at 6 pm and can only do the job after the 18th of Feb, seems to be the best bet.

The lady needs to look at the rim and let the boss give a quote, I dun think they're in the main business of repairing rims. But if anyone knows the prices plz post it here. Will only commence Biz next Tues.

The guy on yahoo auction, it's $100 for 4 rims (works out almost the same as Yew Lip). But he does say he can come down. Refer to his yahoo advert for more info.
