erm...my nails are very very very short leh...its rite inside the nail bed....i think i will have to wait a month without biting , then i can go for a manicure...keke...

O dear, is it all dark brown and discolored?

My brother has them too. He wore plaster around his thumbs to school today, to prevent biting.

My sister doesn't have that habit. That's because when she was younger, I put chilli on her fingers to break it.

Not sure what he does exactly... but when he bite till there's nothing to bite, he likes to just press the nails against his teeth or something, habitually. That hurts the flesh inside and the nail turned dark brown. Maybe his thumbs are now disproportionately short.

/grin. That's very acute. Yeah probably while biting he presses on it. It's probably all numb to pain.

Heheh I'm proud to declare chilli method works and is good and fast way to break finger sucking / nail biting habit for kids. My sister has nice nails. Should've done that on my brother when young, he wouldn't have deformed thumbs now otherwise.
