Also just to add on, I went to SGH previously and was referred to a specialist from there. The doctor at SGH diagnosed me with the disease but the specialist later on didn't give me a Memo or anything. I didn't know that I had to request for it.

Would I be able to down PES? Really afraid that my knee will not be able to withstand all the heli-rappling and things that Guards do. Any advice?

Hi people,

Just want to see if anyone have the same situation. Was referred to KTPH by CMPB due to some problems that I had. And everytime I go for a re-check up the doctor always tells me that the blood test this and that is still the same and no improvement and she re-scheduled another appointment for me in a few months time. I just want to check what if I keep "failing" the check up by the doctor and show no imporvement? Will she keep extending the check up?

You should and must ask the doctors over there at the hospitals.

How do we know what kind of health or body or blood problems you have when we don't even have any access to your medical records of the hospitals?

Check blood can check all sorts of 10,001 health problems...

Hi guys,

I recently received a pes status changed letter from D to B1L1. The weird thing is I'm sure that I should get BP instead of B1L1 since my BMI is 31 which has already exceed the BMI "27>" which they name as overweight people. Happens to anybody before? Or it is just a temporary pes change?

Hi eac got a quick qns. Was down pes E9L9 for a year and is expiring soon. I thought the normal norms is that they will ask me for a medical review with MO and I gonna go see my heart specialist again for letter . However I got a saf letter stating they r doing a medical board for my case for a perm status without me needing to attend. Isit due to my age category as i m turning 35 this year that they med board me without the normal review?

and with that what's the odds of my perm status to be in which pes ?

i got my current temp status due to hypertension and HBP.

To be rest assured, you can reconfirm with the medical centre directly. If you don't know the direct telephone number of the camp's medical centre, please call the MINDEF operator at 6760 8828 to ask for it.

In general, for clear cut cases, Medical Board is conducted without the NSmen attendance. Only for complicated cases, then the NSman is to be present.

Tks eac, normally for high BP and cholestrol level with high chances of getting heart related issues, it warrant wat type of perm pes?

If really gotten a pes that my company can't accept what will happen? They post me out of my company but within battalion level? Do I go to Mindef reserve list or I carry on with my ICT doing another vocation?

However, please first focus more on healthy lifestyle changes as the utmost priority.

I strongly urge you to eat oats (instant/ quick-cook).
3 big scoops (Chinese soup spoon) into a bowl.
Just add boiling water to 70% full.
Cover the bowl with a plate and wait 10 to 15 minutes.
Add water to 100% full, and consume at lukewarm.

Start off the day by having a heavy breakfast.

I recently OOCed from command school due to a relapse of my persistent skin problem, was diagnosed by my specialist who wrote a memo that i have severe recurrent P folliculitis. Returned to MO boarded me for medical board review for a perm downpes from A to B1L1 with a perm excuse outfield. Anyone knows where I might end up?

Revocation/ Post Out matters are none of medical centre business. Medical centre can only recommends a revocation/ post out. Please note that all actual manpower matters are all handled by the NS unit's S1 Manpower Branch. Therefore, please personally go to check directly with S1 Manpower Officer/ DyS1 Officer/ Chief Clerk for the official answers.

Hello, I am 19 years old studying in a polytechnic. I will enlist for NS next year, 2015.

I would like to ask on the CMPB checkup. I have a scar on my arm, but generally I am physically fit, have no known medical conditions. However, I dislocated my left elbow, but still able to move fine as deemed fit by my own standard, and had an operation on it.

Declare honestly and truthfully? What PES?

To be eligible for OCS/ SCS, I read that must be at least JC/ polytechnic level, right?

Also, I am thinking to sign on regular to be RSAF pilot, how? Apply for interview first?

Hi eac, I'm a NSman with PES status C9L3. Recently got diagnosed with diabetes and high cholesterol, currently taking medication to control it. I've got an overseas ICT later this year and I would like to defer it, is my medical condition enough to get derferment or to get a further down pes?

And if a medical review is needed, do I have to get a specialist memo from hospitals? I came to know of my condition through yearly blood test and is currently seeking treatment from a gp. will these blood test result + gp letter be enough for the medical review?

For overseas ICTs, for all NSmen below PES C, there will be an Overseas FFI medical review scheduled (SAF100 issued) a couple of months before the overseas ICT. So please give the MO a photocopy of all relevant supporting documents there and then.

GPs' note is so-so okay only, so best is public hospital specialist memo (most usually the case and highly recommended).

Hi guys,

Recently went for medical checkup, MO referred me to GP doctor for medications to help my poorly controlled asthma. I have to repeat spiro test at cmpb after a month. As for now I'm pes D. I recently received a letter indicating that my cholesterol levels's not within range and that I have to follow up with a GP doctor but the letter did not state that I have to go for a lipid test (cholesterol test). I am acceptable weight and my asthma is well controlled.

Any idea what will be my pes status? I'm sure A is not in the picture, I'm hoping for a B.

Imagine if you are on sedatives and you are shooting rounds on your gun. If you care for your buddies' lives you should do all you can to refer yourself to the SAF Psy, yes.
