From the first seconds of the film Inside Man, a compelling mood is
set via the powerful music that accompanies the opening scene. The
song, "Chaiyya Chaiyya Bollywood Joint" is an adapted,
hip-hop-inflected tune (featuring Punjabi MC) from India's most
famous soundtrack creator, A.R. Rahman. Those hoping for a full-on
South Asian exploration should note that this is the only Bollywood
number on the disc; the rest of the film is scored by Spike Lee
regular Terence Blanchard (Malcolm X, 25th Hour, Bamboozled.)

Wow - I sit down to watch the movie and the song starts off and I
had goosebumps the size of tomatoes. I *LOVE* this song and it was
awesome to get another movie theater rendition (The last being when
we last watched "Dil Se").
chaiyya chaiyya IS on this soundtrack

about what a lot of the reviewers are saying: chaiyya chaiyya (that
hindi song that everyone's talking about) is indeed on the
soundtrack, it is listed as the last song. Also, this is the remix
for the Inside Man film and not the original song from Dil Se (the
original hindi movie that the song is from). Either way, watching
Dil Se is pretty cool, the cast actually dance on the top of a
moving train (no harnesses or anything) for the music video to this
song.
Otherwise, this is a great album (and music) to go with a mediocre
film. I was surprised to find so many songs that just stuck out
like a sore thumb in a movie (in a good way), just the whole way
chaiyya chaiyya was used for the opening and closing credits was a
light surprise. It just...fit so well...

AR Rahman has similar music songs, Unfortunally are very difficult
to find & only under Soundtracks.

For those of you who liked "Chaiyya chaiyya"... I have been a fan
of AR Rahman since he entered the Indian music scene in 1992 with
the soundtrack for Roja. He revolutionized Indian film music and
has composed soundtracks for many Tamil and Hindi films (as well as
the West End/Broadway musical "Bombay Dreams" and the recently
openned stage version of LOTR in Toronto). If you liked "Chaiyya
chaiyya", I suggest you try listening to some of the following
Hindi soundtracks: Dil Se.. (the rest of the songs besides
"chaiyya" are also amazing), Lagaan, Roja, Bombay, Swades, and Taal
to begin with... There are many other great albums but these are
some of the best.
