BMT POP Posting Orders FAQ

Storeman job is generally easy, more than often i see storeman slacking more than clerks. It just depends which store you get as some have more work while so...

superlibra SG

thats what i thought too, but apparently they told my friend that his sign-on application will be accepted only after he gets posted to OCS after BMT.. weird.. any way to appeal postings?

Your friend will have to be able to get into OCS based on his own merit, so if his PC's review states that he doesn't have the making of an officer, he can't go into OCS, and hence his application will not be approved..

Hmm.. 21SA got any intake?

can i ask what is the highest rank that u can get if your vocation is Air Ops Spec? 3SG? (for NSF)

For all NSF rank for spec is up to 3SG only. Internal promotion up to 2SG is possible in some units i believe but you don't get the pay so to me its still 3SG

Yep you are right. It is called a local promotion(L/2SG).Usually specs can get up to 2SG if they are assigned to be platoon sergeants and go for the the PS course. The thing about local promotion is that your 2SG rank is only recognized within your unit and while you are still serving...if you go to another camp or ORD,you will go back to 3SG.

Best part is,you still only get a 3SG pay but you got to do BOS duty like any other regular 2SGs!!!Lol!

Bassdance SG

oh. but is the promotion straight from private to 3SG? like after completing the course u get 3SG rank straight? or must promote to LCP, CPL then 3SG?

dkcx SG

Combat specs will go from PTE -> the new specialist training rank -> 3SG

Logistic specs will go from PTE -> CPL -> 3SG (after 1 yr service and pass IPPT for those required)

Bassdance SG

oh. ok thanks dkcx. im still currently waiting for my posting, just pass out from BMT. 02/09 batch.. posting will only be out on 19june. will post here again when i get my posting. :D

can someone tell me what to expect for this ?

dkcx SG

RP means you are the camp's 'security guard' lo. Those people you see standing at the gate of the camp with rifle if doing sentry of else its powler. If you did guard duty in tekong before, just extend that to your entire NS life and thats about it. Whats your shift like would depends on the camp but generally 2 hrs work 4 hrs rest and stayin or stayout depends on the camp as well.

Nihon natsu2005 SG

What shld i expect like gotfield camp, soc , route march ? whats the highest i can get promoted to

s0nic SG

i think RP dont have route marches, field camp and SOC. and i believe highest rank u can get to is Corporal.

dkcx SG

As i say, what RP do is mostly just extended guard duty so you can 4get about most of the stuff you learn in tekong. There might be route marches etc during the training phase i dunno but once you start proper posting to unit, it will be just doing guard duty all the way.

Highest rank should be CFC (Corporal First Class) but its not that easy to get for RP i guess since its really hard to perform specially outstanding.

You are posted to 38 SCE.

Your vocation is AFV OPR - ATTC.

Anyone can tell me more about this? Is it tough? any route marches and outfield?

dkcx SG

Should be relatively slack bah as long as noone comes to draw ammo. You should be something like a storeman but rather than store, what you have is ammo.

Its should generally be stayout bah unless you suay

Not too sure about it and my combat engineer friend is not online for me to ask but outfields and route marches should be highly likely especially outfields. CE isn't know to be a slack vocation.
