The CBRE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Explosive)
Defence Group was formed to enhance the SAF's counter-terrorist
capabilities to address this multi-faceted threat.
39 SCE, which is the Chemical and Biological
Defence Unit. It decontaminates incident sites that contain
chemical or biological hazards and provides a sustained,
multi-incident response capability. 39 SCE works with the Singapore
Civil Defence Force (SCDF) in the event of a chemical attack.
CBRE pioneer are usually in PT kit with Boots. There's a $200
Risk Allowance i think. No SOC i think, but they have their own
obstacle course to clear. Field camp wise, not alot. But this Unit
is everready. It'll be a fun experience for you but prepare to
sacrifice alot of weekends.
But hey, this is one of the few Army Unit that actually operate
mostly in civilian sector rather than the jungle.
