problem with reverse sensor?

i am not too sure about the coverage of the reverse sensor. but i realise that, say, when i reverse around a corner, and there is a car behind, when my car is positioned such that the car behind is not directly behind my car, but at a certain angle to it (more like its head is at the corner of my back bumper), the reverse sensor does not pick it up and hence does not make the usual beep.

is this normal? or should i have the reverse sensor checked? and if i wan to have it checked, how should i do it?

Rolling Eyes by then maybe knock down a few old ladies, 3 lamposts and maybe half a dozen bumpers during parallel parking liaoz lor.

depends on the specs of ur reverse sensor i suppose and how they were installed. some good ones will detect everything that comes close to ur rear bumper no matter where they are. other pariah ones maybe u hit something liao then the fella beep Laughing

might as well go to the person who installed it to ask. dun think anyone has the answer since dunno which model of reverese sensor u using.
