My naval dreams.......

Have an automated STOVL aircraft carrier fleet with 4 frigates , 4 missile Corvette , 4 Anti-submarine vessels , 2 Endurance LPD , 2 submarines. Have JSF for the carrier-based aircraft and NH-90 for the seabased heli.

Include the Visby Class Corvette into our inventory for coastal Armed Patrol to replace missile corvette. Missile Corvette to add on to our offensive fleet together with the Deltas.

Add in 4 Krivak3 Frigate into our inventory for our Aircraft Carrier Fleet. Krivak Frigate to be armed with land-attack Cruisemissies.

Purchase 4 Kilo attack Submarines to add on to our submarine fleet. Sjoormen submarine to be armed with land-attack popeye cruisemissile .

All mistral twin launchers be replace by Barak Missile Defense System. Deltas to be armed with Aster30 or Aegis Missile Defense System.

hmm.....nice hehe i like....but if we could get 1 Aegis crusier better and the 3 Iowa class battleships wah every1 in this reigon will be shitting in their pants!!

Idea 1:
SM-1 AMX 13 too many around. Modify it as Scout vehicle - replace existing turret with the 25mm Rafael OWS. Fit it with bulldozer blade in front for digging in. Put a mast with electro-optics for serveillance and satcom.

It's Singapore's version (heavier) of the German Wiesel. The thing will 'float' and 'fly' and impossible to see (and hit) in hull down position!

A good UN peacekeeping vehicle too.

Idea 2:
Convert the Tempest into underwater vehicles. No need for AMX 10Ps. Just roll up to the beach head underwater!!! Electric hydro drive is my bet.

So need to know how far they should 'roll' up the beach and how to deploy them to sea bed. Maybe they need to sit at the sea bed for months till D day!

Remote control - need to have some basic nav gear and autopilot. Once out of water the guns will have man-in-the-loop remote control.

They will clear the path of mines and lay down covering fire for the troops behind in the LCVPs. Maybe dig foxholes for the troops to take cover.

Some will have 30mm gatling gun. Others will have heavier direct support weapons.

Moonstriker SG

some ideas i came up with and i actually presented in my year 1 project....
1: Upgrade the longbows we have with EMP resistant skin just like the Tiger. (sounds familiar? Wink )
2: replace the tail rotor with an internal fan rotor (forgot wad its called)

Ñow the crazy ideas i have...
1: Replace the skyhawks with F-22s
2: Replace the scout choppers we have with Commanche

=P

foga SG

that's a very good idea!!!
perhaps could be fited with ATGMs like spikes or Gill
or maybe with laser range finder/destinator for the artillery formation?

25mm seems too big liao. perhaps a 0.5m HMG with 40mm AGL combo?

Idea 3:
When Skyhawks start to slow down, their external fuel tanks can be converted into decoys or long range glide bombs like the Popeye.

All you need is a wing, GPS, autopilot. Haven't seen the Gabriels around for quite a while. Warhead from the Gabriels can be used here.

SingaporeTyrannosaur SG

what we need is a good new light tank.

Idea Use bipedal assault robot that can fly Twisted Evil

Idea 4:
Instead of patrolling the waters around Pedra Branca using patrol crafts.......

Mindef should just buy a used oil rig for retrofitting into a mini base with piers/floating dock, helipad, air-con barracks, gen sets, jackpot machines etc.

I believe this has got to be more productive than boats bobbing around when sea gets rough.

You can park it directly over the rock if you want to! Make sure it's got the latest disco lite fitted.........

BTW, keep the oil drilling stuffs, you never know Singapore may just get lucky!!! Keep the crews busy too.

I jus wish that all the other countries have armies of carrot heads….. and our deadly WMD is a pot of boiling water….
