i m a poly student. wad are the chance that i will be gng into
OCS??
because officer is sort of better than a spec. ty.
poly student can go into OCS. chances rather high in fact.
but then, officer no big deal.

no i am not a spec. i am a sign-on officer, currently still an
officer cadet.
the best officers are those who don't pull rank and don't push
over those specs below them. as an officer, you have to earn your
respect, not demand it (which sadly, some actually demand). are you
really willing to serve in order to lead? that's the only question
that i pose to you. not saying that you are not good enough for
ocs, but the mentality needs a slight tweaking.
i can't blame the "officer-better-than-spec" impression which
ppl have. on the contrary, i say both can excel equally. in fact, i
respect certain specs and warrant officers more than some
officers.
all you need is the mindset that "i want to be an officer
because i believe in leading by example. i want to influence
others", not because there's more prestige or pride involved.
because at the end of the day, at the battlefront, your
officer-ship, or the lack of it, is not going to confer you bullet
immunity.
as long as you have the correct mindset and excel in the tasks
required of you, you will have one foot inside OCS.
