shoot the commandos while they are still in the air, and how do
u identify who is a medic anyway? esp. since most such ops are done
at night. . .
airborne troops are used only when it is absolutely necessary,
chance of discovery is quite high even with HALO, and with the size
of airplanes used by airborne troops, well, u get the idea, radar
will pick them up
the only advantage that airborne troops will actually have is that
enemy radar will only know that large planes are in their air space
but NOT WHERE the troops are dropped.
i think airborne troops are best used when u have an emergency and
enemy defences have to be breached quickly and no proper force can
be thrown together in time (unless u are using mass airborne drops
where u can expect to have only a fraction of the force you sent
actually reaching the objective, since many will be killed before
they do anything
anyone with any ideas on use of airborne troops?
my two cents
