BSLC has no confinement for the first weekend now, 8 weeks
course. ASLC has.
Expect more freedom and liberty as the schedule is less packed
than BMT. The training will be tough, but there will be more free
time, usually. Unless you get sent to a company that wastes time
like mad.
The culture shock usually comes when you move on from BSLC into
vocational training. SISPEC is also known as SISLACK now so BSLC
sure can manage one, but the vocational trainings are much much
tougher.
