bro, my taste a bit different from you... i already carrying a
passenger 'radio' every morning. so i don't appreciate any more
radio stations that talks (or more like ads or really lame topics
like cooking) ... prefer good music
Anyway, like I say, hate jams, take MRT. That is why Gov promotes
park and ride scheme.
the problem with the park/ride scheme is it is a stupid
idealology.
you spend average $1.60/liter of petrol and u get about 10km/liter
(conservatively). so $3.20 for 20km which is nearly half of
singapore's width. why would you park your car (parking charges?)
in an mrt and take a $0.80-$1 bus/mrt to your work place?
Financially, it is a stupid choice, coz you end up paying
more.
Personally, it is a stupid choice, coz you forgo your aircon car
and squeeze with other people in the public transport *AND* still
end up having to pay more.
In this case, money talks. No matter how much the GOV 'encourages',
its still just NATO. unless they can say people who subscribe to
P&R don't have to pay road taxes. then yes. it is still viable.
otherwise, sorry, i'm sticking my guns with the jams.
As for lorry all that, since the traffic is already so slow (no
large gap between cars), them using the 2nd lane isn't actually
road hogging. These guys drive to earn money, so I think that gives
them more right to drive. So for us who drive for comfort, can't
stand the jam, take MRT.[/b]
ok. this point is useless to argue, TP comes, sees your 60km/hr
vehicle on lane 2. u get booked. period.
there is no question of who has the 'right', be it earning money or
not.
coz you cannot rationalise that earning money have more rights,
otherwise u will have to give way to taxis. since they are paid per
km/second.
