Is there a civilian workshop in your camp like Delgro or something? Make friends or buy them coffee or something and they'll be glad to teach you. There's a lot of other things they can teach you to adjust for you like the acceleration pedal cuz sometimes they limit how far you can press the pedal so that can pass smoke test. You can actually learn alot from them. Plus, you never know when you need their help.

I got the chance to drive the SUV. Quite powerful..go up slope easily even if you never engage differential gear. Very smooth, shiok air-con, radio. Speed cut-off was 90 or higher..forgot..Only remember reaching camp half an hour earlier than the rest..unless forced to convoy..then lan lan. Just don't use radio in rough terrain cuz the antenna sticks out. Somemore got cup holder and compartment to put ur specs. haha..I guess I was the first one to scratch the vehicle..come back got ALOT of scratches. But washing the inside is troublesome cuz cannot anyhow spray. My impression is that its a civilian vehicle modified for military purposes. Its not really a military vehicle. Anyway, cannot replace minibus cuz not enough storage space. Mini-bus pick-up can't be helped...I guess.

The White Audi I saw at my camp was a A4. Pretty sure as that was the new model A4 shortly after its launch.

As for the driver, they are attached during official hours only. Usually 8-5 unless the generals has a functions after that. For the White MID Audi that you saw, it is most probably the general driving himself. Heard they have to pay a fixed sum of fee for using the car for private use. In any case, it is lway much ess than owning a car is sg.

haha..the guards salute even when the driver going to top-up petrol only. Very funni.. Anyway, not fun to be driver of the vehicle. You have to clean and polish the white car...make sure the tank full. U probably spend more time cleaning the car than driving it.. U can't talk kok with ur veh com..Destination might not be familliar..and you might get lost..Have to drive properly..cannot jam accelerator..Maybe 1st time fun..but it gets old quick...

CDF car is 2 digit one...quite a small 2 digit number if I am not wrong (and if they have not change it)

There are single digit MID cars saw a few before at my camp, also mercedes E200, heard used for foreign defence ministers or big shots...Not for our local staff.

the general in my camp seldom drive his MID car to work anymore nowadays. he drive his own car. Mr. Green

I'm a Trans. Sup at SAFTI MI. So basically, i know the CNV,COA,CAF,CDF,CGO MID number Mr. Green Everytime, their drivers would come over to my place to smoke or something. And my place suddenly became a RED ALERT meeting place because of all the cars that are parked together Laughing

Quite sianz la driving... but being in the officer also sianz.. thats why i try to tuang as much as possible.. sometimes kana f.ucked for volunteering to drive

i drove Staff cars(Audi,Proton and Ford) before and the feeling damn shiok..Imagine any camps u go , people saluting you... Laughing (i was alone in the veh)

But i try to avoid the landrover...Only which i will use the landrover whereby the SWD is broken and go up to 80km/h (been there, done that) hahah.. but too bad, the L/R went for servicing due to inspection date Mr. Green
