I'm not from that church and its profile makes me uncomfortable. Many know about the church but not about its charity activities. http://www.chcsa.org.sg/

According to this thread, giving more money to any church means higher blessings and higher chances of going to heaven. Laughing

M©+square SG

CHC will try to help you financially. Mr. Green

charlize SG

No wonder nobody wants to convert me or bring me into their church.

I'm poor. Laughing

laurence82 SG

woah, u guys still going at it

Anyway, browsed thru today's papers

There is this chap who wrote in to ST Forum asking for the same kind of governance rules to be applied to religious organisations. He named Father Kang and the Catholic Church as an example, and also 'mega churches'.

Doesnt take much to see where this guy is going....

M©+square SG

No la. Mega churches doesn't 'cheat' people's money.

Those who gave the church did it out of their own accord and according to beliefs.
Whereas NKF case is out of charity and goodwill, and there are variety shows or challenge to support the fund raising.
The two ish different mah, ask the chap to go and chiak sai.

Cheers

laurence82 SG

Note the word 'governance'

Its not how the money is earned, its how and whether the money is used to achieve an original purpose.

oh yeah, chc should change its name to City Harvest Country-Club.

to say they using believing in god is all a pack of lies. the way they show others wif an attitude that, "my church is the richest church" just show us that.

i wonder how much they are contributing to tsunami welfare last year? you may be rich and geneous to your own kind, but that is only the appearence it possess.

charlize SG

Which is to go to heaven? Laughing

M©+square SG

Eh they really got contribute to the Tsunami welfare, they also sent a few batches of their members to the site to help.

Don't like that la....
