I'm not from that church and its profile makes me uncomfortable. Many know about the church but not about its charity activities. http://www.chcsa.org.sg/

An Atheist believes that a hospital should be built instead of a church. An Atheist believes that deed must be done instead of a prayer said. An Atheist strives for involvement in life and not escape into death. He wants disease conquered, poverty vanished, war eliminated.”

An Eternal Now SG

And why you presume that truth must always be attacked? Laughing Do you see our school textbooks always being attacked as false?

That's just an excuse to cover up reality.

I'm sure if Christians behave well, there wont be so much problems.

Redblood SG

My Lord And My God ... what has become of CHC ???

just look at their website ... WHERE IS GOD ???

the entire thingy looks like a huge futuristic propaganda to go to someplace happening to socialize for the elites. the line up of speakers looks like juice magazine DJ line up for Zouk!

So disappointing ... I hope God make them go back to Ekklesia times

Tradesman SG

Evening everyone Wink

Why should a church be built instead of a hospital? Because a church is a rally point for $$. You start a hospital but where you find $$ to buy your medicine and employ your doctors? Donations?

Christians are much involved in life. Go find out about the church's overseas missions. I bet you know nothing about what our local churches do overseas. Find out about City Harvest Community Service etc.

To conquer disease, you need educated people. That's why Christians build schools - ACJC, AHS, ACS, MGS and what have you? Poverty vanished? Yah lah .. introduce people to the "health and prosperity" gospel! War eliminated .. yah lah that's why Jehovah's Witnesses don't want to be soldiers mah!

Redblood SG

any ex or current CHC forumers here who were part of the ekklesia ministry then ??

malicious_ SG

go ahead and invest in something that only promises returns after death then.

Icemoon SG

No leh .. you get to see the returns when still alive.

Look how people are enjoying under the 'Health and Prosperity' gospel ..

wArAnGeL SG

Jesus is the way, the truth and the light. He promises life after death.

SexyChin SG

Interesting.

Anymore to say? Laughing

Redblood SG

does anyone here come from the generation where a senior cell leader by the name of Bruce Fong Kai Mun exists?

wArAnGeL SG

well... no one is perfect. i believe we as Christians are trying to behave the very best that we can.

and why is that so? it is because we have a living God that is existing. guiding us each step of our life and helping us overcome temptation.

Icemoon SG

Minus mark!

Should be "life", not "light". Laughing

wArAnGeL SG

ohoh. sorry. hah.

Redblood SG

so sad ... i guess nobody same generation ... but anyway ...

let God be Gods and let men be men ... let children remain as children ... lets not be against each other but against their heinous (or part thereof) acts Laughing

BTW i happen to be one of the engineers who read thru the entire tender document for the building at CHC JW, IMHO, it was not a penny wise project, very wasteful. but a dream for Gongsultants involved.
