BillGates SG I'm using PC333 512Mb Ram from Kingston. Can I slot another same spec one from Hynix? Or can I slot a PC333 1Gb RAM in? Will it cause my system to be unstable?
Gordonator SG as long as they are of the same type supported by your motherboard, it shouldn’t be a problem. different brand, different design is ok. just take note of the maximum capacity your board can support.

kaobeikaobu SG see mobo specification for ram type and max speed...u buy 533mhz ram, u still get 333mhz ram speed...
Xcert SG no...U can slot in 2x512 RAMs...just make sure its also PC133MHz...and of course if Ur mobo can support a total of 1GB RAM
Li Ka Shing SG Just wondering…..why you need until 1 GB RAM for? I bet 99% of the time, the 1 GB RAM is just sitting there redundantly. 512MB is more than enough. I think even 512MB is also pretty redundant for most of the time.
^tamago^ SG if u open a lot of programs at once, it’s faster to switch back and forth if u can have all of them in RAM.
