Eh... forget about getting the car lah... save your money, next
time go out work then have enough to get a decent 1st hand
car...
I was like you once... right after I got my license... wanted to
get a 2nd hand evo... but thinking again, no use... the insurance,
COE and tax will kill... not to mention your fuel and parking...
plus any fines that you might have...
I did the math before... at least $1k for just a normal saloon
car... provided you don't have any major accidents... you don't
even have a stable income... how you going to cough up $1k a
month?? Your $15k going to be blown on just the car alone... after
that leh? No more money... car stuck in carpark to rot...
Even if your parents want to sponsor, help them save money... then
next time can get a better car and you can bring them out for
rides... They work so hard to provide for you... I stay in Bedok,
go to NUS... I still take bus and MRT everyday... if I'm late, I
take cab... but it's way cheaper than driving...
If I want the feeling of driving, I rent a car... managed to drive
once a month last year, after I got my license... the feeling is
just as good... plus no need worry about extra payments...
Only if you can say that you're earning 2k+ a month, then go get a
car... less than that... dun bother... Singapore is one of the most
expensive places to get a car... only 40 - 50% of the price is
actually the car's...
You say Australia cars there are cheaper.. I agree... maybe you can
take that 15k and go there study instead... then can drive whatever
hot ride you want... Finish poly here and go overseas also not
bad...
