hmm... bigger volume of air = increase in the amt of expansion. so the larger the tyre, the more the expansion will be when air is used in them. constant expansion and contraction of the air when heated and cooled results in higher stress and is not good for the tyres. hence N2 is used instead so that the gas expansion is much lower.

Yes it's true. I changed my tires @ autobacs recently n they gave me a FREE Nitrogen gas top up, n after every few mths I can return to ask them top up for FREE till e End of my tires' LifeSpan.

1. My tires now dont get HOT when driving long distances easily n becos' of tat, they dont EXPAND as much as normal air do.

2. Also it is less noisy now, but I can't be certain cos it could be due to e new tires cos new tires also reduces noise.

3. Wat is "FC"?

If e ad claim its' safer n lower risk of tyre explosion, cant denial its not true, but can say its bullshit cos tyres dont EXPLODE in normal usage circumstances, n e chances of u getting one is almost NIL.

Jus a word of advice, if it's free, feel free to go for it. Its not wise to pay for it. The differences/improvements is only very minimal n not worth our precious hard earned $$$. Betta wait till when u nid to change tires, they will give u for free.

*Note: Nitrogen filled tires should not be repump @ those normal airpumps @ petrol stations, it would defeat e purpose.

I put Nitro in my tires, but only for one reason. I'm too lazy to keep track of my tire pressure, so now once a month I drop by StamfordTires for a free refill. Mr. Green

Hey guys. may a bit off topic but since we're talking abt tyres here...oh well..might as well pop my question in..

I've always had a problem with punctured tyres. like 3 nails in 2 months. best part, i don't know how i hit the nails as well.. I recently read up about Tyre Sealants.. gurantees at least 20 punctures per tyre.

Is it worth the money?
